Report From:
Myrtle Beach International Film Festival
The MBIFF is now over and the awards have been distributed. Watch the awards ceremony HERE.
Situated a short way from the beach, the Carmike 16 venue was an excellent choice because it is within a giant entertainment complex called "Broadway at the Beach."

Organizer & Founder Jerry Dalton (Dalton Pictures and Entertainment Company)
worked very, very hard to make the festival a success. For example, I
was shocked to learn that he and Heather (co-producer) will have spent
nearly 60 hours from Tuesday through Saturday operating the computers
and projectors in a stuffy, warm and constantly noisy projection room
environment. During the awards ceremony he mentioned working into the
early morning hours prior to the start of the festival.
I know something about management, coordination, logistics, marketing
and promotion. By my estimate those 60 hours cooped up in the projection
room are just a fraction of the amount of time needed all year to make a
five-day, 120 movie festival work. He has done a LOT with very little
money and support.
BRAVO Jerry and Heather!!
I saw several movies and I'll be reviewing some of them here during the next few days. The first is the award winning mockumentary "Lost In Buenos Aires." Please visit our REVIEWS page. The second will likely be documentary "The Triangle of Death."
